Dr. Natalie Thompson grew up in England, and studied geography at her hometown university, the University of Reading. She later went on to earn a masters in Polar Science at the University of Cambridge, followed by a PhD in Geology and Environmental Science at Iowa State University in the United States. After graduating, she accepted a position as an oceanography lecturer at Iowa State. In addition, she is currently training to become a science librarian. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, long road trips, hot yoga, singing, and curling up with a good book.
